Co-curriculum and pre-National day celebration

by Tan Ker Shiong on Aug.29, 2009, under Past Event

Last Friday our school celebrated the extra-curriculum and pre-National Day.

Held annually, the co-curriculum day was  to acknowledge and recognise active students who participated and excelled in extra curriculum activities  and also to inspire these students to continue to strive for  excellence in their academic as well as non-academic pursuits. Several hundreds of students attended the event. They were smartly dressed in their  co-curriculum attire. Some of  them were eagerly looking forward to receiving the prizes for their achievements.. The prize-giving ceremony was punctuated with several performances such as patriotic drama, wushu and taekwando skills demonstrations and oration delivery. The event went very well and smoothly.  A three-hour event,  it ended at  noon, with all of us singing our patriotic songs about our school, our city and our country.

Fire – Drill Session

by Lim Sin Ting on Aug.20, 2009, under Past Event

On Wednesday, 19 August 2009, there was a fire – drill session approximately after the second recess of the morning students. All students were required to assemble at the school field.

The objective of the fire – drill session is to ensure students are alert when there is an emergency. Students must know where to go and what to do when there is a fire.

After all, the session went smoothly but there were few performers who practiced for the Hari Anugerah Cemerlang Kokurikulum on this Friday, 21 August 2009 were declared ‘mati terbakar’.
