Time had really fly. Its now March, and the SPM results will soon be released to your.

The SPM results of year 2009 can be collected tomorrow starting from 10 in the morning. Please dress appropriately when collecting your results in school.

On 30th December 2009, it was the orientation day for all the new students for the 2010 schooling session. The day started as early as 8.00 in the morning, students came to school wearing their new uniform accompanied by parents to register themselves.
New students are mostly from SJK(C) Taman Connaught which they look more confident and relaxing because they studied next door formally, so they are more familiar with the environment and most of their school mates are enrolled to this school, SMK Taman Connaught.
Another group of students are from other primary school (not SJK (C) Taman Connaught). They look tense and uneasy to the new environment where they do not have any friends yet. Anyway, from observation, we can see that they can soon mix together with their peers as all of them are now facing a new secondary school life.
The orientation session then begin when students were asked to gather in the hall and sit according to their classes. First, there was performance by the school’s most prestigious Orchestra to welcome our new school students. Students were impressed by the performance.
Then, the principal, Puan Radiah binti Nordin started her welcome speech. She firstly welcome all the new students and also parents to the orientation day, she subsequently introduce the school’s history, vision, mission, motto, and its administration to all the new comers.
The speech followed by other administration teachers which they further explain about the school’s organization and rules.
Next, the students were asked to go to their respective classes. There were many society setting up booth to attract new students to join their society like Saint John, Chinese Language Society and also Chinese Orchestra. The orientation day dismissed in the afternoon.

[16 Nov 2009] – SONNYBIZ ENTERPRISE , an ExxonMobil Young Entrepreneur Program (EYE) organised by Exxon Mobil , had been liquidated after months of operation in SMK Taman Connaught and had raised a handsome profit of RM 13,760.80 successfully after donated few thousands to the school as well as an orphanage located in Taman Mawar.

On 16 Nov, all the members as well as teachers were invited to attend the EYE Closing Cermony in Equotorial Hotel to present their projects throughout the year by setting up a display booth and present the works verbally using Power Point presentation.

Employees were needed to introduce and explain our projects briefly.  to the guests and judges .

SONNYBIZ ENTERPRISE  members were presenting their presentation to all the members of the floor.   

After waiting for quite a moment, the anticipated result was announced following the presentations from each school. The other schools that turned up were SMK Seri Mutiara, SMK Sains Alam Shah, SMK Bandar Utama 2 , SMK Darul Ehsan and etc.

Sound of claps and cheers flooded the entire hall. SONNYBIZ ENTERPRISE, proudly represented SMK Tmn Connaught won the champion  in the competition !

All the members jumped in excitement and so thrill in the sight of the shiny golden trophy. It is the reward for all the hardworks and bitterness.  

The competition had ended and the members were very satisfied with the results achieved. After all the toil and hardship , they are now able to enjoy the fruit of labour, taste the sweet of success. By gaining the first hand experience in indulging in EYE Program, the interest of the members toward the world of business has greatly increased. Thank ExxonMobil for providing such an opportunity to the youngsters.

There will be another national stage  competition awaiting them next year . Hopefully, they are able to be the champion once again! Connaughtians will be proud of them!
